Squaretio

A free online strategy game on a 6x6 grid — line up as many squares of your color as you can.

Squaretio is a quick two-player abstract strategy game you can play right in your browser, with nothing to install and no account needed. Play with a friend on the same screen, challenge the computer at three difficulty levels, or play online — by sharing a room code, with quick matchmaking, or in ranked best-of-3 matches with an ELO rating and a public leaderboard.

How to play

• Take turns coloring an empty cell of the 6x6 grid with your color.
• Line up as many cells of your color as possible, horizontally or vertically — diagonals don't count.
• A line of L cells scores L² points: 3 cells score 9 points, 4 cells score 16 points.
• Bonus: lining up exactly 3 cells lets you replace one of your opponent's cells with your own on a later turn.
• Each turn lasts 10 seconds. The game ends when the grid is full, and the player with the most points wins.

Game modes

• Two players, one screen — pass the device to each other in turn.
• Against the computer — easy, medium or hard AI opponent.
• Online — private rooms, quick match, rematches, and ranked matches with ELO.
• Daily challenge — the same board for everyone each day, one attempt against the hard computer, with a daily leaderboard.
